This is why we can't have nice things...
So Friday I was alone with the kids (cue ominous music) while Tracy was at work. Since they were being mostly good, I decided to leave them alone together for ten minutes while I shaved the front lawn with the weed whacker. I come back inside to hear Thomas complaining to Georgia "No, no!" w hich I ignored, since she does have a tendency to get into his face.

As it turned out, it wasn't his face this time. For some bizarre reason she decided to grab the container of Vaseline off the power room counter top and rub it into his hair. I washed his hair trice conventionally to try and get it all out, but it turned out Tracy has to use a combination of dish soap and corn starch to get rid of it all.

Oi.

You just have to keep telling yourself that it is the female beautification gene.

Like when Alyssa got rid of our "new house smell" by emptying about $40 worth of Amber body oil all over the walls of the hall (Back turned time: under 5 minutes)

Body art for Baby Tenderlove ($80 on E-bay) with a Black Sharpie (Mommy napped on couch, Daddy thought Mommy was watching)

"Cleaning" paint brushes by whipping them, causing beautiful spatter art on the non-painted walls in the hall (Smelly AND Pretty)

Oh yes, I feel your pain. But they are just so darned cute.

Huh. You mean that Tracy actually managed to get Vaseline out of hair? I am so damned impressed right now. Last time I knew of a kid with Vaseline in his hair, it had to grow out.
